A bridge replacement project on County Road 24 (Tri-County Highway) in Mt. Orab is under way, and the route's eastbound lane is now closed to traffic.
Tri-County Highway (Main Street) will be closed to eastbound traffic while westbound traffic will be maintained in one lane as crews replace the bridge located over Sterling Run and immediately west of U.S. Route 68 (High Street). In addition, a 13.5-foot width restriction is in effect in the westbound lane.
Crews from DGM Incorporated of Beaver, Ohio, are replacing the deteriorated structure, and while the bridge is closed to eastbound traffic, motorists will be detoured via Main Street to County Road 87 (Bodman Road) to state Route 32. All work is scheduled to be completed by October 31.
In a separate project, crews from DGM are replacing a bridge on County Road 29 (Selph Road) in Highland County, and the route is now closed to all traffic.
The project site is located at the route's 0.10-mile marker, immediately off state Route 138 at Hillsboro, and motorists are being detoured via U.S. Route 62. The completion date for this project is August 31.
