Tornado confirmed in Preble County

Based on damage reports, photographs and radar data, the National Weather Service in Wilmington is able to confirm that a weak tornado occurred in Preble County, east of Eaton, during the late afternoon of Sept. 24.

The National Weather Service will coordinate with Preble County Emergency Management to conduct a remote damage survey to determine details regarding the magnitude and location of damage.

These details will be provided in a followup statement later Wednesday. The results will also become available at weather.gov/iln.
