SSCC trustees to meet Jan. 22-23 in Adams County

The Southern State Community College Board of Trustees will meet Jan. 22-23 at the Murphin Ridge Inn and the West Union Industrial Park, beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday and concluding Monday afternoon.
The trustees will open their meeting with the passing of the gavel from 2011 board chair Kay Ayres of Highland County to 2012 chair Vicki Wilson of Clinton County. Trustee Don Moore of Fayette County is the 2012 vice-chair of the board of trustees.
Following the introduction of the new chairperson, trustees will leave Murphin Ridge Inn for a brief tour of property in West Union at the invitation of the West Union Village Council.
Last year, the board of trustees voted to accept an option on donated property along Route 32 in the village of Seaman, while also voting to build a new Brown County campus in Mount Orab.
In addition to touring the West Union property, trustees will receive a 2010-11 progress and accomplishments report.
There will be an executive session regarding compensation and employment of public employees.
Trustees are: Vicki Wilson and Leilani Popp of Clinton County, Don Moore and Douglas Boedeker of Fayette County, Kay Ayres and Michelle Cimis of Highland County, Paul Hall of Brown County, and Rory Ryan and Larry Anderson of Adams County.
