State Route 771 will be closed for one week next month as Ohio Department of Transportation maintenance forces undertake a culvert replacement project.

During the week of July 11, S.R. 771 will be closed at the 3.41-mile marker while crews from ODOT’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility replace a deteriorated pipe. The project site is situated just south of County Road 11 (Bridges Road).

Closure of the route will go into effect at 8 a.m. Monday, July 11, and the route is scheduled to be closed until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, July 15. Weather permitting, crews should complete the project in advance.

Throughout the week, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 28 West at Leeburg to U.S. 62 South to S.R. 138 East at Hillsboro.
