Springfield man sentenced to community control in Highland County motorcycle theft case

A Springfield man was sentenced to community control recently after pleading guilty to grand theft of a motor vehicle in Highland County Common Pleas Court.

Alan L. Reynoso, 62, was indicted on the fourth-degree felony charge during the Sept. 12 Highland County grand jury session.

The indictment accused Reynoso of “knowingly obtaining or exerting control over” a motorcycle without the owner’s consent, on or about May 20, 2023.

According to court records, Reynoso pleaded guilty to the charge Feb. 29. 

During a sentencing hearing April 3, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss imposed three years of community control. Reynoso was ordered to be evaluated for substance use disorder treatment and to follow any recommended plan, according to court records.

Reynoso was also ordered to pay $2,990 in restitution to the victim in this case.
