Senators applaud Port of South Point opening

Senator Joe Uecker (R-Clermont County) is joined by fellow Senator Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) for the opening of the Port of South Point in South Point, Ohio.

The opening of the port in southern Ohio could bring as many as 1,200 direct and indirect jobs to the region within the next three to five years, the senators said.

Senator Joe Uecker represents Ohio’s 14th Senate District, which encompasses Adams, Brown, Clermont, and Scioto Counties and portions of Lawrence County. He currently presides as the Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on State Government Oversight and Reform.
