Schlichter faces federal fraud charges

Former NFL quarterback Art Schlichter is now facing federal fraud charges in connection with a million-dollar ticket-selling scheme, The Associated Press and other media reported today.
Schlichter, who played high school football at Miami Trace, was a former starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
"Documents filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Columbus allege Schlichter deceived people by promising sports tickets at low prices based on his contacts," the AP reported.
Schlichter also has been charged in state court with multiple theft charges. He previously served prison time for gambling-related crimes.[[In-content Ad]]
