Ryan Reffitt stars on gridiron for U.S. Air Force Academy Falcons

Hilliard Bradley High School graduate Ryan Reffitt is starring on the football field for the Air Force Falcons this season, while majoring in civil engineering.
Ryan is the son of Doug and Angela Reffitt. Doug is a 1975 graduate of Hillsboro High School.
Reffitt lettered in football for three seasons while playing for the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars in Hilliard, Ohio. He was honorable mention All-District, second team All-Conference and was a team captain his senior season when he won the team’s Jaguar Award.
Coach Michael LoParo of Hilliard Bradley High School told The Highland County Press this week that the Jaguar Award is given to the player who “exemplifies all the qualities that we desire from a Bradley football player (both on and off the field).
“Ryan is one of the most coachable kids I have ever been around. His work ethic is second to none. He did all he could for the growth of our program and has left a tremendous legacy behind,” Coach LoParo said.
“We are extremely proud of him and excited to watch his growth at the Air Force Academy.”
Reffitt, a 6-5, 230-pound sophomore, plays wide receiver for the Falcons, who are 2-1 on the 2015 season.
Reffitt had a nine-yard reception in a 35-21 loss to the undefeated Michigan State Spartans last weekend (Sept. 19).
The Falcons, coached by Troy Calhoun, opened their season with a 63-7 victory over Morgan State.
In week two, Air Force defeated San José State, 37-16.

The Air Force Falcons football program represents the United States Air Force Academy in college football at the NCAA Division I level. Air Force has been a member of the Mountain West Conference since its founding in 1999.
They play their home games at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Falcons’ next game will be Oct. 3, a nationally televised match (3:30 p.m.) against the Navy Midshipmen in Annapolis, Md. Air Force will host the Army Black Knights in another service academy rivalry on Nov. 7.
“We’re so proud of Ryan, the Air Force team and the entire Cadet population for all that they represent: ‘Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do,’” Angela Reffitt said.
