Anglers enjoy the first day of May, while trying their luck at Rocky Fork Lake State Park's north shore Friday morning.

Several boaters were also taking advantage of the more seasonal temperatures this week. The first weekend in May typically brings more people to the lake area and several local stores will be changing back to their summer hours.

Rocky Fork State Park includes 1,384 acres in eastern Highland County.
