Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera is offering a reward of $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) involved in the armed robbery at Country Corner Carry-Out on May 12, 2015, in Highland County.

Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports that on May 12, 2015, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Highland County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Country Corner Carry-Out, located in the 12000 block of S.R. 28 in Madison Township, Highland County, Ohio, to a reported hold-up alarm activation.

Sheriff Barrera states that after the initial alarm, the Greenfield Police Department and Hillsboro Police K-9 units arrived on the scene to find the suspect had already fled the area.

Store employees described the suspect as a white male, between 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing approximately 150 to 160 lbs. The suspect was seen wearing a camouflage shirt and hat on backwards with white-framed sunglasses, blue jeans, tennis shoes, and what appeared to be a bandanna tied around his face.

According to Sheriff Barrera, the suspect entered the store, brandished a knife, and ordered store employees to empty one of the cash registers, obtaining cash, before fleeing the store in what appeared to be a blue-colored sedan, with what appeared to be an accomplice driving.

The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on S.R. 28, heading toward the City of Greenfield, on May 12, 2015, stated Sheriff Barrera.

Sheriff Donnie Barrera requests that anyone with information of the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle or suspects is encouraged to contact the Highland County Sheriff’s Office at 937-393-1421, or the Crime Tip Hotline of the Highland County Sheriff’s Office at 937-840-6243.
