With Medicare’s annual enrollment in progress through December 7th, State Representatives Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) and John Carey (R-Wellston) encourage residents of Ross County to explore the Medicare health or prescription drug options that are available to them in 2012 and seek professional guidance, if necessary.
To assist any individuals who have questions or would like extra help, the Ohio Department of Insurance’s Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) is offering free health insurance and prescription drug plan counseling during the enrollment period. By participating in these free services, Medicare beneficiaries may be able to save themselves significant amounts of money on their health insurance premiums, deductibles and copays, and prescription drug plans.
OSHIIP will be holding a free “Medicare Check-up” event at the Ross County Senior Center (located at 1824 Western Ave. in Chillicothe) on Wednesday, November 30th at 10 a.m. This event is intended to help people review changes to Medicare and determine their best coverage option for 2012.
