By
Portsmouth Police Department, Press Release

The Portsmouth Police Department announces that an arrest has been made in connection with a 2022 homicide.

On Oct. 29, 2022, Chad Sissel was the victim of a homicide that occurred in an alley behind a Linden Avenue address in Portsmouth.

Following a lengthy and thorough investigation, Portsmouth Police Department Shepherd identified a suspect in the homicide. The case was subsequently presented to a Scioto County grand jury by the office of Scioto County Prosecutor Shane Tieman.

The grand jury returned secret indictments for Favio LJ Campa, who was residing in Georgia at the time of the indictments. Campa has since been arrested.

Campa has been charged with aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence.

An indictment is merely a charge and is not evidence of guilt.

The Portsmouth Police Department would like to thank everyone who assisted with the investigation. Anyone with additional information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Detective Shepherd at (740) 354-1600.
