Pet food recalled due to bird flu contamination
The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) is sharing a recall issued by Northwest Naturals of Portland Brand 2lb Feline Turkey Recipe Raw & Frozen Pet Food, due to HPAI (bird flu) contamination.
Northwest Naturals, a Portland, Oregon-based company, voluntarily recalled its Northwest Naturals brand 2lb Feline Turkey Recipe raw & frozen pet food. The recalled product is packaged in 2-pound plastic bags with “Best if used by” dates of 05/21/26 B10 and 06/23/2026 B1. The product was sold nationwide through distributors in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, MN, PA, RI and WA in the United States, and British Columbia in Canada.
The product has been distributed to four Ohio locations:
Friendly Paws Pet Supplies and Grooming – Athens, Ohio
Hollywood Feed – Woodmere, Ohio
Hollywood Feed – Chagrin Falls, Ohio
Mutts & Co Graceland – Columbus, Ohio.
ODA inspectors are in contact with the retail locations and ensuring the product has been removed.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product should immediately discard the product and contact the place of purchase for a full refund.
