One-vehicle crash results in fatality

     WILMINGTON – A one-vehicle crash results in one fatality in Clinton County.

     The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Wilmington Post, is currently investigating a one-vehicle accident on Stone Road, near Spencer Rd., in Wilson Township that occurred Wednesday evening.

     At approximately 5:53 p.m., a 1973 Mack grain truck, loaded with soybeans, driven by Daniel E. Ehlerding, 59, of Jamestown, was traveling southwest on Stone Road when the vehicle traveled off to the right side of the roadway and overturned.

     An investigator from the Clinton County Coroner’s Office pronounced Mr. Ehlerding deceased at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained from the crash.

     The accident remains under investigation, as alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
