Ohio military, overseas voting begin Sept. 24

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced that absentee voting for military and overseas voters begins, Saturday, Sept. 24 for the upcoming presidential election.
Military voters who have not yet registered to vote or submitted a request for an absentee ballot may still do so by visiting OhioMilitaryVotes.com. Overseas voters can visit OhioVoterPassport.com. There, they can download the Federal Post Card Application, register to vote and request an absentee ballot, read through frequently asked questions, track the status of their mailed ballot and sign up for future election reminders via email and social media. All voters can also contact their county board of elections directly for more information.

Candidates for local office are certified by the individual county boards of elections.
Absentee Voting by Mail and In-Person
All Ohio voters may begin voting on Oct. 12 (first day after the close of registration) both in-person and by mail-in absentee ballot. For more information, visit MyOhioVote.com.
Register to Vote or Update Your Address The deadline to register to vote in the 2016 Presidential Election is Oct. 11, 2016 (30 days before the election). Voters who need to update their address also have until Oct. 11 and can use the online change of address tool. Both downloadable registration forms and the online change of address tool are available at MyOhioVote.com.
