Ohio Division of Unclaimed Funds, BBB hosting free ‘Claiming Your Unclaimed Funds’ webinar

The Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Unclaimed Funds and the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio are teaming up to host a one-hour webinar Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m., to provide an overview of unclaimed funds in Ohio and how Ohioans and businesses can find and claim their missing money.

The webinar is free, and registration is not required to attend. The webinar will be on Microsoft Teams and can be accessed here.

Ohioans will learn what unclaimed funds are, how they can find out if they have any, and what steps they can take to claim those funds. Information will also be provided on how to claim unclaimed funds on behalf of a deceased family member and the required documentation needed, timelines, how to check the status of a claim, and other relevant resources.

The Ohio Division of Unclaimed Funds is currently safeguarding about $4 billion in unclaimed funds that can be claimed at any time by visiting unclaimedfunds.ohio.gov or missingmoney.com.
