For the week ending April 4, 2015: The following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system within ODOT District 9. ADAMS COUNTY

Operations for a slide repair project on S.R. 770 have been suspended, and the route is now open to two lanes of traffic at the 2.01-mile marker. The project site is situated between Tranquility Pike and McCreight Road, just east of Seaman, and contractors will return to the site in the spring to complete pavement work. When work does resume, traffic will be maintained in one lane. (#14-0499)

S.R. 247 is closed at the 1.20-mile marker, approximately one mile north of U.S. 52 and just south of C.R. 2 (Germany Hill Road), for a slide repair project. While the route is closed, motorists are being detoured via U.S. 52, S.R. 136 and S.R. 41. All work is anticipated to be completed in early summer. (#15-0002)

BROWN COUNTY

A culvert repair project is under way on S.R. 41, where crews are installing liner in two culverts located approximately one mile north of U.S. 52 at Aberdeen. Throughout the project, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers. The project is scheduled to be completed in early summer. (#14-573)

MONDAY, APRIL 6: A resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on U.S. 68 and U.S. 52. Crews will be paving U.S. 52 from the western corporation limit of Higginsport to just east of T.R. 255 (Pisgah Hill Road) and between Main and Hanover streets in Ripley. Crews will also be paving U.S. 68 from U.S. 50 to the Brown-Clermont County line. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers when crews are at work. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-summer. (#14-471)

APRIL 6-17: S.R. 763 will be closed just north of T.R. 24 (W. Fork Road) and approximately one mile south of S.R. 353 for a slip repair and drilling project. The closure will go into effect at 8 a.m. Monday, April 6, and all work is anticipated to be completed by 4 p.m., Friday, April 17. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 41, U.S. 52, U.S. 68/62, U.S. 62 and S.R. 353.

HIGHLAND COUNTY

S.R. 247 is closed approximately one mile south of Hillsboro and north of T.R. 268 (Green Road) for a bridge replacement project. Throughout construction, traffic will be detoured via S.R. 785 and S.R. 73. All work is scheduled to be completed in early summer. (#15-0068)

S.R. 753 is closed between T.R. 357 (Rupple Road) and T.R. 360 (Titus Road), approximately one mile south of Greenfield, for a bridge replacement project. Throughout construction, traffic will be detoured via U.S. 50, S.R. 41 and S.R. 28. (#14-0478)

As part of a dual bridge replacement project, C.R. 11 (Bridges Road) is closed at the 17.43-mile marker, just north of S.R. 771. While the route is closed, traffic will be detoured via C.R. 44 (Centerfield Road), C.R. 15 (Monroe Road) and S.R. 771. During the first phase of the project, Bridges Road will be closed at this location for up to 90 days. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall. (#14-0348)

JACKSON COUNTY

S.R. 327 is closed for a rock excavation and slide repair project. The project site is located just south of T.R. 207 (Woodrow Hale Road) and approximately two miles south of the Vinton County line. Throughout construction, the route will be subject to a 60-day closure, and motorists will be detoured via U.S. 50, S.R. 683 and S.R. 93. (#14-0571)

Operations for a grade separation project at U.S. 35 and C.R. 9 (Keystone Furnace Road) continue. Currently, traffic impacts are minimal, and traffic is being maintained on all mainline routes during construction. Industry Drive, adjacent to U.S. 35, remains closed. The project is scheduled to be completed by early summer of 2015. (#14-0140)

LAWRENCE COUNTY

A bridge replacement project continues on S.R. 7 at the Indian Guyan Creek bridge, just west of Proctorville. Traffic is being maintained in one, 11-foot lane with temporary traffic signals. (#14-0078)

A slide repair project is under way on S.R. 775. Crews will be realigning a portion of the route and correcting the slip area that is situated at the north junction of C.R. 2 (Greasy Ridge Road), approximately four miles south of S.R. 141. During the initial phase, there should be little to no impact to traffic; at all other times, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers. All work should be completed by early summer. (#14-0531)

Operations for a signal and lighting project on U.S. 52 at the Ashland, Ky. twin bridges and Coal Grove have been suspended temporarily due to weather and materials-related issues. Currently, there is little to no impact to traffic on U.S. 52 or the bridges; however, when crews return to the site, lane restrictions will be in place at the intersection, and motorists may encounter some intermittent periods of delay in the construction zone. The Ironton-Russell Bridge replacement project continues, with work being conducted off affected roadways. In addition to localized closures affecting downtown traffic, motorists are advised of equipment entering and exiting the work zone in Ironton and at the U.S. 23 viaduct in Kentucky. (#11-0628)

PIKE COUNTY

An emergency slide repair project is under way on C.R. 50 (Watson Road), near its junction with C.R. 55 (Hay Hollow Road) and just north of S.R. 335. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 10-foot lane with temporary traffic signals. The project is anticipated to be completed in late spring. (#14-0432)

MONDAY, APRIL 6: A resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on U.S. 23, where crews will be paving the route from approximately one mile south of S.R. 32 to the southern corporation limit of Waverly. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction, and all work is scheduled to be completed in early fall. (#14-0482)

ROSS COUNTY

S.R. 772 is closed just north of Liberty Hill Road, approximately two miles south of Chillicothe, for a slide repair project. The closure will be in effect for up to 120 days, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 23, S.R. 104 and S.R. 220 in Pike County. (#14-0572)

SCIOTO COUNTY

MONDAY, MARCH 30: A dual bridge replacement is scheduled to begin on S.R. 140 at the 9.22 and the 9.48-mile markers. The project site is situated from C.R. 17 (Frederick Road) to just east of T.R. 294 (Railroad Hollow Road), approximately one mile west of South Webster. Throughout construction, traffic on S.R. 140 will be maintained with the use of temporary signals; however, Frederick Road will be closed for up to 60 days, and motorists will be detoured via T.R. 295 (Haines Road) and C.R. 12 (Bennett School House Road). All work is scheduled to be completed in mid to late fall. (#14-0457)

A culvert replacement project is under way in Shawnee State Forest, where crews will be replacing culverts and headwalls at multiple locations on Forest Roads 4, 6, 13, 16, 18 and 19. Throughout most of the project, traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work. However, F.R. 4, 6 and 13 will be subject to intermittent periods of closure at certain locations, with motorists detoured locally. The project is anticipated to be completed in mid-spring. Demolition projects are under way within the right of way corridor of the upcoming S.R. 823 (Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway) project. Crews are clearing property obtained for the project; however, there should be little to no impact to traffic. All work is anticipated to be completed in early spring. (#14-2001; #14-8029)

Operations for a bridge replacement are under way on S.R. 73, where crews are replacing the structure at the 1.10–mile marker over Rarden Creek and immediately west of Rarden. Contractors will be constructing a new bridge alongside the existing structure, and during the initial phase of construction, there should be little to no impact to traffic. At all other times, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers and/or temporary signals, and all work should be completed by late summer. (#14-0498)
