ODOT District 9 releases weekly Highland County construction update

The following ODOT construction projects are anticipated to impact traffic in Highland County.

State Route 73
SR 73 Intersection Changes — work will begin during the week of April 27, 2026, to convert the intersection of State Route 73 and Prospect Road to an all-way stop. Currently, this intersection operates as a two-way stop requiring only traffic along Prospect Road to stop before entering or crossing SR 73. 

SR 73 Bridge Replacement — SR 73 between SR 785 and Flat Run Road is reduced to one lane and maintained by a temporary signal. Estimated completion: fall 2026.

State Route 753
SR 753 Bridge Repair —  SR 753 between Snake Road and Paint Creek Road is closed for the duration of the project. The detour is SR 41 to U.S. 50 to SR 28 to SR 753. Estimated completion: fall 2026.
