ODOT District 9 releases weekly Highland County construction update

The following ODOT construction projects are anticipated to impact traffic in Highland County.

State Route 124
SR 124 Culvert Replacements —This project will replace a series of culverts on SR 124 between Shamrock Lane and Herbert Road. 

Beginning July 27, SR 124 will be closed between Shamrock Lane and Main Road. The detour is SR 41 to U.S. 50 to SR 28 to SR 753. Estimated completion: July 27.

Beginning July 28, SR 124 will be closed between Main Road and Herbert Road. The detour is SR 41 to U.S. 50 to SR 28 to SR 753. Estimated completion: July 31.

State Route 73
SR 73 Bridge Replacement — SR 73 is reduced to one lane between Line Road and Mad River Road. Traffic is being maintained by a temporary signal. Estimated completion: fall 2026.

SR 73 Intersection Changes —The intersection of State Route 73 and Prospect Road has been converted from a two-way stop to an all-way stop.

SR 73 Bridge Replacement — SR 73 is reduced to one lane between SR 785 and Flat Run Road. Traffic is being maintained by a temporary signal. Estimated completion: fall 2026.

State Route 753
SR 753 Bridge Repair —SR 753 is closed between Snake Road and Paint Creek Road. The detour is SR 41 to U.S. 50 to SR 28 to SR 753. Estimated completion: fall 2026.
