ODOT District 9 releases weekly Highland County construction update
The following ODOT construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Highland County. All outlined work is weather permitting. State Route 785
State Route 785 Culvert Replacement — A culvert replacement project on S.R. 785 between Burgess Lane and Young Road. This project is set to begin on April 14.
S.R. 785 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 247 to S.R. 73. Locust Road will not be accessible from S.R. 785.
Estimated completion: April 16.
U.S. Route 50 & U.S. Route 62
U.S. 50 & U.S. 62 Pedestrian Safety Improvements — A pedestrian safety improvement project in the city of Hillsboro. This project has begun as of March 31.
All eastbound lanes of East Main Street will be closed between North/South East Street and North/South High Street.
Traffic will be detoured via North High Street to East Beech Street to North East Street.
Estimated completion: spring 2025.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed, and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
