On April 4, at 3:26 a.m. the Greenfield Police Department executed a search warrant at 401 S. Washington St., Apt. A., Greenfield. The warrant was obtained as a result of a drug investigation.
Once inside the residence, officers found an operational methamphetamine lab, with freshly made methamphetamine present.
A male suspect, identified as Allen West, 29, Greenfield, attempted to flee out the back door of the residence and was captured by officers waiting there. A female occupant, Michelle Sions, 30, was found near the lab and taken into custody.
After the scene was processed for evidence, a hazardous material crew was called in to secure and dispose of the dangerous chemicals. Highland County sheriff deputies assisted with the raid.
Both West and Sion were charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs, illegal assembly of chemicals for manufacturing of drugs, and aggravated possession of drugs, all felonies. Both were transported to the Highland County Justice Center in lieu of $200,000.00 bond and are to appear in Highland County Court in Greenfield for arraignment on Monday morning.[[In-content Ad]]
