McClain High School Drama Department performs 'The Outsiders'

The McClain High School Drama Department performed the classic play, "The Outsiders" on Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 in the McClain auditorium.

"The Outsiders" is based on the coming-of-age novel by S.E. Hinton published in 1967. She was just 18 when the book was published. The book follows two rival groups, the "Greasers" and the "Socs" (short for Socials), who are divided by their socioeconomic status.

The story is told in first-person narrative by leading character Ponyboy Curtis.

The McClain cast included Trace Poore, Tommy Henry, Cam Thacker, Gable Smith, Caleb Schluep, Brandon Nebbergall, Ryan Wilkin, Kimmy Goddard, Madison Foltz, Corey Knisley, Jon Beatty, Anna Ehlers and Desi Brewer.
