Marshall Mini Mart celebrates 10-year anniversary March 15

Marshall Mini Mart will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a customer appreciation day on Saturday, March 15.

The customer appreciation day, set for noon to 5 p.m., will include hot dogs, a DJ, games for kids and raffles in the mini mart's parking lot, weather permitting.

"We put on the door that it's not a birthday party, it's a thank-you party," said Connie Ray, who co-owns the mini mart with her mother Jeanne Stetham.

"Marshall and the whole area has been loyal to us for 10 years, so this is just a thank-you to them."

Ray also thanked the mini mart's employees, Nathan Abell, Chuck Holley, Aaron Kenner, Mona Lengefeld, Ryan Moehlman and Cheryl Short, and said that the mini mart has hired many great students over the years.

"I am proud to say that in 10 years we have helped a bunch of college kids," Ray said.
