A man charged with assault on a local police officer during an incident last year was sentenced recently in Highland County Common Pleas Court.

As previously reported, Dallas Tolle, 26, was charged with assault on a peace officer, a fourth-degree felony, during the December 2022 Highland County grand jury session. At the time of the indictment, his address was listed in Sabina; there is no current address listed as of this article’s posting.

The indictment alleged that on or about Oct. 23, Tolle “knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm” to a Greenfield police officer. He pleaded guilty to the charge March 9, according to court records.

During a sentencing hearing April 20, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss imposed a 45-day jail sentence in the Highland County Justice Center, as well as three years of community control.
