Local supporters meet with Ted Strickland

Democratic Senatorial candidate Ted Strickland made an Oct. 30 campaign stop at the Highland County Democratic Party headquarters on Main Street in Hillsboro.

Strickland is the Democratic nominee for United States Senate and is opposed by Republican incumbent Rob Portman.

According to his website, Strickland is running for the U.S. Senate "to fight for Ohio’s working people because that’s where he comes from and that’s who he cares about. He is a former minister, prison psychologist, congressman and governor."

The former Ohio governor and congressman is shown with Ms. Elsie Young, Alaina Best and her mother, Melissa Best.
