Johnson celebrates Mount Orab Fire Department's new training tower

State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) joined the Mount Orab Fire Department at its fire hose uncoupling ceremony for its new training tower.
Johnson supported the new tower by securing $272,000 for the project in the state's capital budget process in 2021.
"Our firefighters protect and serve our communities every day, and they must be trained at the best level to do so," Johnson said. "This new tower will give them local access to live fire training so they can develop the skills they need to stay safe in the field and keep us safe in our homes."
The new training tower will provide access to training for local fire departments in Brown, Adams and Clermont counties for required continuing education, allowing firefighters in the region to complete their hours without traveling hours away. Additionally, access will be given to those studying for their Ohio Firefighter Certification at the Brown and Clermont Adult Career Campuses.
