The Friend of 4-H award recognizes individuals and businesses from outside the “4-H Family” that have greatly supported the 4-H program. This award is sponsored by Frederick & Kathryn Pepple of Wapakoneta.

Ohio 4-H is the youth development program of Ohio State University Extension, the outreach arm of CFAES. In 2014, more than 216,000 young Ohioans participated in traditional 4-H clubs, camps and school enrichment programs, and in other Extension youth groups and educational activities. Ohio has more than 17,000 active 4-H volunteers.
