Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office-
The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire at a vacant single-family dwelling in Cincinnati (Hamilton County).

On Friday, Feb. 25 at about 4 a.m, the Colerain Township Fire Department, along with several mutual aid companies, was dispatched to 8927 Cheviot Road for a single-family dwelling on fire.

The same residence was reported to have been broken into days prior to that. The residence did not have electric and was not occupied at the time of the fire; however, the property owner did have personal belongings inside. No injuries to the public or to firefighters were reported.

The investigation is being conducted by the State Fire Marshal and Colerain Township Police Department. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these fires.

Anyone who has information should contact the State Fire Marshal’s tip line at 800-589-2728.
