Husted: Deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Nov. 5

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today reminded voters that the deadline to request an absentee ballot by-mail is tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 5 at noon. The Presidential General Election is four days away.?
The 8,887 precincts in Ohio will be open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Ohio voters can access information about their sample ballot and their polling location at MyOhioVote.com/VoterToolkit.
There will be 1,804 local issues, including levies for police and fire services as well as school funding, appearing on ballots across Ohio.

Absentee ballots must be returned to the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. If returned by mail, the ballot must be postmarked by Nov. 7 and arrive at the board of elections by Nov. 18. Voters who choose to return their absentee ballot close to the deadline should consider delivering it directly to the board of elections before the polls close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters may also still cast an early ballot in-person at their county's early voting center.
