Hospital Week in Highland County May 11-15

Highland County Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Jeff Duncan proclaimed the week of May 11-15 as Hospital Week in Highland County during their Wednesday, May 6 board meeting.

"This is our opportunity to thank our employees for the hard work that they do all year long," said Highland District Hospital CEO Jim Baer.

"Our staff works very hard for the people of Highland County. We're very proud of our staff."

Also representing Highland District Hospital at the commissioners' meeting were Tim Parry, Kim Sexton and Tracey Coss.

Commission President Shane Wilkin thanked the hospital for its vital service to the community and encouraged everyone to extend appreciation to hospital employees.

"When we talk economic development, one of the questions that's always asked is 'How close is the nearest hospital?'" Wilkin said. "We appreciate everything you do for us, and we urge our residents to express their appreciation."
