Not all veterans could attend Memorial Day services on May 25; so the Highland County Veterans Honor Guard traveled to Carmel on Sunday, May 24 to present Frank Everhart, a SeaBee Vietnam veteran, with a new SeaBee Service Flag.

The presentation ceremony was arranged by Tammy Gausman, Mr. Everhart's daughter; and Honor Guard member MoJo Ledbetter.

Honor Guard members attending included David Higham, Mike Labig, Major Matt Morrow, David Pinney and Darrell Spencer.

A Seabee is a member of the United States Naval Construction Forces. The word "Seabee" comes from initials "CB," which comes from the term Construction Battalions.
