On Oct. 27 at 11:24 a.m., the Police Department received a B&E and theft complaint from the 200 block of East North Street, where 250 feet of copper water line was removed from the residence. This report remains under investigation. If anyone has information on this case, please contact the Hillsboro Police Department.
On Oct. 30, James Furbee of Hillsboro, driving a 1995 Ford, was southbound on North West Street when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle. Furbee struck the deer, causing moderate damage.
Shawn Shaffer of Hillsboro reported his cell phone and radar detector was taken from his vehicle while it was parked at the Ole Depot.
Higher Ground Farm Auto advised that while their GMC truck was parked at Master Feed Mill, the driver's side and passenger windows were broken out.
Chad Carr of Washington C.H. reported the back window to his 1998 Ford was broken while parked at the Ole Depot.
Tasha Huguely of Hillsboro reported that her windshield was broken while her vehicle was parked at the Ole Depot.
Vickie Minzler of Treewood Apartment reported the windshield of her 2002 Kia was broken while it was parked at the Ole Depot.
On Oct. 31, Melissa Kerwood of Hillsboro reported the right front window of her vehicle was broken overnight while parked at her residence.
On Oct. 31, Ricky Williams of Hillsboro reported that someone had entered his vehicle and took a Panasonic CD player and CDs.
On Oct. 31, George Greenlee of Leesburg reported his property at 409 North High Street had been enters and the exterior and interior door had been damaged. There was also a broken window in the basement.
