Hillsboro Police Report

On Monday, Jan. 16 at 8:54 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a one-vehicle injury crash off Belfast Pike in the area of Johnson Street. Upon investigation, it was determined that a 1995 Chevrolet operated by Natasha McCann, 27, of Peebles was northbound on Belfast Pike and experienced a malfunction with the steering of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway over an embankment into ditch. McCann claimed injury but declined immediate medical treatment. The vehicle sustained non-functional damage. There were no citations issued.

On Sunday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m., Holtfield Station, located at 620 South High Street in Hillsboro, reported theft of merchandise by two female subjects who left the store without paying for the merchandise. The incident remains under investigation.[[In-content Ad]]
