Hillsboro Police Report

On Dec. 27, the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a two-car collision on Harry Sauner Road. William Morgan of Leesburg was on Harry Sauner Road at the intersection of North High Street. He tried to back up to allow a semi to make a turn. Mr. Morgan backed into the vehicle of Charles Chapman of Hillsboro, who was stopped behind him. Light damage was reported, and no one was injured as a result of this accident.
On Dec. 25, the department received a report of a burglary and theft in the 100 block of East Main Street. Victims advised that sometime between Dec. 24 and 25, unknown persons entered their apartment through their front door, causing damage to the door. Earrings and Time Warner equipment were taken. This report is still under investigation.

Timothy Shafer, 36, of Hillsboro, bench warrant.
Preston Ballinger, 25, of Hillsboro, probation violation.[[In-content Ad]]
