On Sunday, Dec. 4 at approximately 11:04 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Wendy's, 900 North High St., in Hillsboro. The manager stated that a white male and female in a red older model Chevrolet Cavalier had purchased food in the drive-thru with a counterfeit 20-dollar bill. The male subject was described as slim-built, mid-20s to 30 years old and having short dark hair. The female was described to be in her early- to mid-20s with medium-length sandy-colored hair. A report was taken, and the incident is currently under investigation.
On Tuesday, Dec. 6 at approximately 1:54 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received an alarm call for Hillsboro Pawn and Jewelry, 116 South High St., in Hillsboro. Officers responded and checked the perimeter of the building, which was found to be secure. At approximately 2:22 a.m., another alarm call was received in reference the same business. Upon officers' arrival, it was found that entry was made at the rear of the building. Upon the arrival of the owner, it was determined that there were items missing. The owner will be taking an inventory to determine exactly what is missing.[[In-content Ad]]
