Hillsboro Police Report

On Nov. 17, Josiah Page of Hillsboro reported identity theft. This report is under investigation.

Brian Cummings of Hillsboro was driving a 2008 Dodge and was traveling north on South High street when a deer ran out into the path of his vehicle, causing Cummings to strike the deer. Cummings' vehicle received disabling damage.

Teina Hoppes of Hillsboro was driving a 2002 Chevrolet and was traveling southbound on North High St. when a deer entered the roadway path of Hoppes' vehicle, causing her to strike the deer. Hoppes' vehicle received damage.

Jesse Allen of Milford, who was driving a 2004 Acura, was southbound on North High Street and failed to stop for a 2004 Chevrolet that was stopped in traffic and was being driven by Jessica Swackhammer of New Vienna. Allen struck the Swackhammer vehicle, doing light damage. Allen was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Arrests and Citations:
David Hampton, 29, of Peebles, bench warrant.
Ivan Dumpert, 32, of Hillsboro, expired tags.
Christopher Jackson, 33, of Blanchester, bench warrant.[[In-content Ad]]
