Hillsboro Police Report
The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for Sept. 17-22.
On Sept. 17 at approximately 6:09 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department was dispatched to a business in the 1200 block of North High Street for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, the officer contacted the reporting party who was in the process of gathering all the information needed. While the officer was leaving the store, the suspect of the theft had returned and was detained. After further investigation, Sebastian Johnson, 26, of Flemingsburg, Ky. was placed under arrest for theft and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
Sept. 19
• Robert Gibson, 58, of Hillsboro was cited for no operator’s license.
• John Harlow, 39, of Hillsboro was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
On Sept. 19 at approximately 8:56 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of North West Street. After further investigation, Jennifer Scott, 34, of Hillsboro was cited for OVI, disregard of safety of persons or property and charged with two counts of child endangering.
On Sept. 20 at approximately 4:39p.m. the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Coleton Grosvenor, 21, of Seaman and Nancy Ward, 58, of Hillsboro were traveling southbound in the 1400 block of North High Street. Ward was traveling in the center turn lane preparing to make a left hand turn in to a business. Grosvenor was traveling next to Ward and allegedly tried to enter the center turn lane as well, causing him to strike Ward. No injuries were reported on scene. Grosvenor was cited for driving in marked lanes.
Sept. 21
• Christhoper Owens, 37 of Hillsboro was cited for driving under suspension.
• Christian Stamper, 30, of Lebanon was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Sept. 22
On Sept. 22 at approximately 10 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the 200 block of North High Street for a report of someone trespassing. Upon arrival, a male was located sitting in a basement to the property. The male was identified as Shane Rhoads, 38, of Portsmouth. Rhoads was arrested for criminal trespassing and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
