Hillsboro Police Department reports for Nov. 24

On Nov. 24, the Hillsboro Police Department received two calls about Pepsi machines being broken into -- one at the Paragon Inn, and the other at the Highland County Water Co. Estimated damage/loss was $310.
The Hillsboro Cemetery reported to the department that someone had kicked the doors at the Chapel and made entry. Nothing was reported, but there was damage to the door and wall.
These reports remain under investigation. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to please contact the Hillsboro Police Department at 937-393-3411.
On Nov. 23, the Hillsboro Police Department investigated an injury accident at the intersection of West Main and North West Street. Jennifer Inlow of Hillsboro was southbound on North West Street and entered the intersection at US 50 on a green light. A semi driver (Juan Fernanado Del Pilar) for Swift Transportation from North Carolina was eastbound on US 50 approaching the intersection of West Street when the light turned red. He entered the intersection on a red light. Units made impact in the intersection. Inlow's vehicle received heavy disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Watson's Towing. Inlow was transported to Highland District Hospital by the Hillsboro Life Squad. The semi driver was cited for red light violation.
