Hillsboro men arrested for warrants, drug charges

On Jan. 26 at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers from the Hillsboro Police Department went to a residence in the 300 block of Bigelow Street to serve an arrest warrant on Brandon Johnson.
Upon officers arriving at his apartment, Brandon Johnson was found attempting to flee by crawling out a window in the rear of his apartment, and an officer at the rear of the evidence stopped him. The officer requested the other adults in the residence to open the front door and allow the officer that was at the front door inside. Another male, later identified as Randal J. Johnson, saw the police were present and ran upstairs away from the officer.
An officer at the front door made forceable entry into the apartment. Brandon and Randal Johnson were taken into custody. While in the residence, officers located drug paraphernalia, and it was seized for evidence.
Brandon Johnson, 27, of Hillsboro, was arrested for two outstanding warrants of failure to appear; one count of obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the second degree; one count of possession of a drug abuse instrument, a misdemeanor of the second degree; and one count of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
