Highland Soil & Water Conservation District's 67th annual meeting & banquet will be held on Oct. 15

The Highland Soil & Water Conservation District's 67th Annual Meeting & Banquet will be held on October 15th, at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center located at 185 Muntz Street in Hillsboro. The supervisor election will be held from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. with a buffet style dinner immediately following. ODNR Division of Forestry - Service Forester Lee Crocker will be the featured speaker for the evening. Crocker will be presenting his program titled "Forestry News and Tall Tales" which will include some fascinating stories from his thirty plus years serving as a dirt forester. One supervisor will be elected to serve a three-year term. Larry Shannon and Adam Vance are the candidates on the ballot. You may vote on the evening of the Banquet or by requesting the proper absentee ballot forms from the office. Reservations for the Annual Meeting & Banquet are $12.00 per person and may be obtained by calling the Highland SWCD office at (937)393-1922 ext.3. Please have reservations in by October 9th.
