Highland County Sheriff's Report
The following is the Highland County Sheriff’s Office report for Nov. 12.
A deputy responded to the 7000 block of Woodland Trail after a report of an alleged theft of a dirt bike. After investigation, the owner recovered the dirt bike from a nearby location. Charges are currently pending.
A deputy performed a traffic stop on East Beech St after receiving information that the driver was suspected of having an active warrant for his arrest. The driver was identified as Stanley J. Lamb, 41, of Wilmington. Lamb was driving on a suspended license and had a pair of active warrants for his arrest. Meanwhile, a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Stacey Thacker, 48, of Hillsboro, was allegedly found to have drugs located on her person and was charged with possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs. K9 Dom was utilized and indicated on drugs inside the vehicle.
