The Highland County Sheriff's Office Jail Division has released the weekly jail statistics report by Deputy Melissa Stewart and Sheriff Donald Barrera.

During the week of June 8-14, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office housed an average of 79 inmates, completed 52 transports, practiced one fire drill and performed one safety inspection.

There were 52 bookings during this week. Twenty-one female inmates were housed, along with 58 male inmates.

Forty-nine felony charges, 101 misdemeanor charges and 32 drug-related charges were issued this week.

The Sheriff's Office conducted 17 transports to prison(s), 22 transports to court and 13 transports to other facilities, for an estimated 2,500 miles.
