HDH Foundation to hold annual golf outing June 20

The Highland District Hospital Foundation’s fourth-annual golf tournament will be held Saturday, June 20 at the Elks golf course in Hillsboro.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the purchase of a 4D ultrasound unit, glidescope and ventilator.

“This is always a fun outing, and we’re looking forward to another fun day of golf this year,” HDH Foundation Director Cathy Jones said.

Quite a few teams have already registered for the tournament, which will have morning and afternoon flights. Morning flight registration begins at 7 a.m. with teams teeing off at 7:30 a.m., with afternoon registration at 12:30 p.m. and teams hitting the links at 1 p.m. The tournament will be played in scramble format, with four-person teams, rain or shine.

The entry fee is $250 per four-person team, which includes green fees, cart and lunch. Lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The deadline to sign up is June 18, but with a 28-team limit for the outing, folks are encouraged to sign up soon.

Jones said there will be skills awards, mulligans, raffles, a split the pot and much more during the tournament. A John Deere Gator will also be on display at the golf outing. The Gator, sponsored by Five Points Implement Company Inc. and the HDH Foundation, will be raffled off later this year. Tickets for the Gator raffle are $20 each.
