HCSO awarded grant to investigate, prosecute drug cases

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera announced Thursday that a grant has been awarded to the HCSO from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS).

This grant will be used solely to investigate, deter and prosecute drug-related crimes in Highland County.

“Because of this grant, we will be able to use additional man hours to help fight the war on drugs that Highland County currently faces,” Barrera said.

Barrera extends special thanks to Highland County Sheriff’s Deputies Dave Bushelman and Ryan Miller for their efforts in the procurement and implementation of this grant.
