HCSO arrests Sabina man on drug-related charges

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports that on March 6, deputies received information of a person gathering items to manufacture methamphetamine. While following up on the information, deputies located the suspect vehicle.

Sheriff Barrera reports that when deputies attempted to stop the vehicle on Straight Creek Road in Brushcreek Township, the suspects fled.

Dakota Evans, 22, of Sabina was apprehended and charged with illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs.

Evans is scheduled to be arraigned in the Hillsboro Municipal Court on March 7.

Another suspect is still being sought in connection with the matter, according to Sheriff Barrera.
