Haag motors donates to Shaffer Park; raffle tickets on sale

Jerry Haag Motors is stepping up to the plate for Hillsboro Little League as part of the National Chevy Youth Baseball program.
Haag Motors donated $500 to the Richard Shaffer Park, as well as some equipment bags, baseball buckets and 150 T-shirts, as well as the opportunity for the ball park to raise an additional $10,000 through the sale of raffle tickets for a chance to win a new Chevrolet Equinox or Chevrolet Cruz (winner's choice). The park gets to keep 100 percent of the proceeds of the raffle tickets.
"Baseball is a great American pastime, and as a Chevrolet dealer, I am proud to have a longstanding history with this tradition, and Chevrolet's commitment on a local and national level," said Steve Haag.
"Jerry Haag Motors is bringing that level of commitment for youth baseball to the Hillsboro community, where our customers and their friends live. Our youth baseball program in Hillsboro is truly cherished and we are happy and excited to support the kids in a significant way."
Haag said he would encourage everyone to support the Hillsboro Little League by purchasing a raffle ticket for a chance to win a new Chevrolet. The tickets are $5 each and include a coupon for $3 off an oil change at Jerry Haag Motors.
"You need to hurry, because ticket sales end July 28," Haag said. "Stop at the ballpark and pick up your ticket today."
