As previously reported by the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, on Nov. 11, Skeens was transported from the Highland County Justice Center to Highland District Hospital on a medical issue. He was later transported to the Ohio State University Hospital (Wexner Medical Center) for further treatment. While there, Skeens signed himself out of the hospital, according to Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera.

On Nov. 13, Skeens was arrested by officers of the Greenfield Police Department.

Skeens was originally in custody for a fourth-degree felony assault charge out of Highland County Common Pleas Court.

In addition to the escape and assault charges, Skeens is also facing a misdemeanor contempt charge in Hillsboro Municipal Court for a traffic violation case and contempt for a case in Highland County Court, according to the Highland County Jail website.
