Grand jury indictments returned; two arrested

Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports that on Oct. 13, 27 grand jury indictments were returned.

Of the 27 indictments, 14 people have been picked up. Four people with indictments are incarcerated in other jails at this time, Barrera said.

Barrera further states that on Oct. 13, Highland County Sheriff’s Office detectives and deputies picked up Kacy Clouser, 33, and Brittany Edwards, 24, on the indictments at a McCoppin Mill Road address in the Rocky Fork Lake area.

After further investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the apartment, where detectives and deputies located over five ounces of heroin and large amount of crystal methamphetamine. There was other paraphernalia located inside the apartment, according to Barrera.
