Fox sworn in as Lynchburg Village Council member

Betty D. Fox took the oath of office to become the latest member of the Lynchburg Village Council.

Fox was sworn in on Aug. 21 by Mayor Gary T. Jones. 
 
Fox has lived in Lynchburg nearly all of her life. She has been in the workforce for nearly 40 years in positions such as executive secretary and credit and collections manager.

The American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Lynchburg Historical Society are among the organizations she has assisted.

“We have a fine community with many good people,” Fox said. “I feel if the Lynchburg Village Council and the community work together, many of the problems can be resolved to the benefit of the majority.”
