First fall flakes fall

Highland County witnessed its first snow of the 2010 fall season Friday morning, Nov. 5, as a few flakes could be seen on the courthouse lawn.
Today's forecast from the National Weather Service calls for chance of rain and snow showers before 10 a.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. 
The chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind around 7 mph. 
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph. 
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Light and variable wind. 
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 55. Southwest wind between 5 and 13 mph. 
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. 
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
